Do you believe that kids and youth need honest and accurate information about sex and sexuality?

Join us to help facilitate OWL, our developmentally appropriate comprehensive sexuality education classes for children, you, and adults.

We need facilitators for our K-1st Grade, 4th-5th Grade, 7th-9th Grade, and Adult classes. 

Teaching OWL is important life-changing and life-saving work for our children and youth.

Facilitators can be part of our congregation or the Urbana-Champaign community. Good facilitator candidates are:  

• Committed to values-based, comprehensive sexuality education. 

• Comfortable with the specific age group they plan to facilitate and its developmental needs.  

• Anti-bias aware and willing to continue educating themselves. 

• Dedicated team members and facilitators. 

UUCUC pays for training (including mileage and lodging) in the nationally recognized OWL comprehensive sexuality curriculum in exchange for your commitment to:

• Fully attend the 2.5-day training in OWL facilitation, typically weekends in summer/fall  

• Participate in a thorough background check  

• Facilitate at least two sessions of OWL as part of a team
